Considerate demolition & GKL innovation

The demolition had to be carried out carefully and without intruding on present neighbours. All demolition materials plus excavation waste had to be removed from site via conveyors and then into lorries. Matters were further complicated by severe parking issues and the need for skips for spoil – this combination demanded very careful planning.

Construction phase

The construction of the multi storey reinforced concrete frames required a constant  dialogue between ourselves, the structural engineer and the architects. The frequency of design change meant that drawings were being drawn and amended as we worked this requiring special focus. The car park and adjacent access had to be piled - this was our responsibility and we set out and arranged the piling contractor. We have provided total supervision for our works with trained operatives. Our skills resulted in us being requested to inspect all scaffolding both of our own and also the main contractors and issuing safety directives where necessary.

All our works have been inspected by the Building Inspector and we have been complimented on our professionalism and competence.
