Mayor of Peterborough launches River View House scheme

Developers the GKL Group and Savills Peterborough celebrated the official launch of River View House with the Right Worshipful, the Mayor of the City of Peterborough, Councillor Pat Nash MBE, on Thursday 17th July 2008.

In recognition of this landmark building project, Mayor Nash unveiled a plaque to mark the commemorative launch of the scheme and the completion of the “topping-out” phase of construction.

Mayor Nash commented on the schemes sustainability features, including the use of under floor heating, timber framed construction methods, state of the art mechanical ventilation systems as well as the use of recycled paper for insulation cavity.

After the plaque was unveiled, Eamonn Killoughery (Chief Executive of the GKL Group) presented a cheque to the Mayor for equal distribution to the Mayor’s Charities of 2008.

As a result, St John Ambulance, Hospital at Home and the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice will all receive funding.
