EARLSTREE ROAD

Completed in 2024, this £1.2M project delivered an over 1,000m² extension to an exsting B8 warehouse at 25A Earlstree Road in Corby.

The substructure included 70 steel-cased piles extending to depths of up to 9m, reinforced concrete pile caps and ground beams and an insulated ground-bearing floor slab. Above ground, GKl installed a structural steel frame, matching roof and wall cladding, sectional loading doors and curtain walling.

As well as this, GKL delivered the external civil engineering works. This included the foul and storm draininage with a Hydro-Brake flow-control chamber, service ducts for water, gas, and other utilities as well as over 550m² of concrete yard space, and 345m² of block-paved parking.

The finished project increased the warehouse’s storage capacity, whilst integrating perfectly with the existing building.
