On the 9th of March 2026, GKL started work on Phase 0 of Flagship Park which includes construction of a haul road, mitigation ponds and a high voltage intake building.

When complete, Flagship Park will be a large warehouse and industrial complex, with units of up to 850,000 sq ft in size. Located just off Edgerley Drain Road in Peterborough, Flagship Park’s proximity to the surrounding Peterborough area as well as the A1(M) makes it an ideal location for progressing Peterborough’s industrial growth.

GKL’s work at Flagship Park was not without its challenges. We had to work closely with ecologists and archaelogists to ensure we minimised our impact to the surrounding area, including ensuring damage was not caused to the surrounding water vole habitats, as well as ensuring anything we excavated from the ground was preserved for generations to come.

We are also proud to announce that Flagship Park was our first site to use our solar-first welfare units with battery storage. The welfare units on this site have been incredibly successful, both reducing our diesel usage on site by thousands of litres as well as reducing our generator maintenance to zero. Due to this, we will be expanding our solar welfare initiative and we aim to convert more of our units to solar only by the end of the year.
