FORTREY COURT

Housing Development

Fortrey Court was a project that showcased our range of internal skills and talents, working with the client to transform a semi derelict former builders merchants yard into a new, purpose built residential development.

With two listed buildings at the gateway to the site we worked with the local councils heritage and conservation teams to come up with a scheme that managed to bring these run down and neglected properties back to life.

The original property, Fortrey House was restored to its former glory, with the majority of its original features carefully exposed, restored and enhanced to transform this back to a stunning five bedroom manor house. Adding thermal upgrades wherever possible heating and hot water is provided via a high temperature ASHP.

Given its condition the former Coach House was partially demolished and rebuilt to transform this from what was a materials storage building to a modern 4 bedroom home.

Utilising our expertise in brownfield remediation, the remaining part of the site was transformed to provide 6, 2 and 3 bedroom bungalows within a quiet cul-de-sac.

Again, with innovative design and using modern methods of construction, all with ASHP and underfloor heating throughout 6 highly efficient properties were delivered for the client.
