LINCOLN ROAD

GKL were appointed as the design and build contractor for the delivery of two executive five-bedroom homes on the car park of the former Crown Public House, within the picturesque village of Glinton to the north of Peterborough.

Using innovative design and construction methods, the houses were built upon highly insulated raft foundations and incorporated timber frame construction. GKL also installed air source heat pumps and under floor heating resulting in highly energy-efficient homes with very low running costs.

The works also included a new S278 highway junction. Despite the constrained site, the works were completed with minimal disruption to the adjacent nursery which remained open throughout.
