GKL Building & Civil Engineering Ltd were engaged by Nene Park Trust and Nene Golf Ltd as Principal Contractor for the new golf driving range and teaching academy at Thorpe Wood Golf Course, Peterborough. The state of the art driving range covers two tiers and has twenty three bays with three dedicated fitting and teaching bays. As Principal Contractor, GKL Building & Civil Engineering Ltd had general overall responsibility for the project including project management and general programming and coordination of all trades.

GKL also undertook all groundworks, earthworks and infrastructure works utilising our own specialist labour and equipment.

In addition to the driving range and teaching academy GKL have undertaken a number of projects at both the Thorpe Wood and Orton Meadows Golf Courses, ranging from on course drainage works, new concrete storage yard for the greenkeepers and new footpaths around the courses.
