THE HAMLETS

Located on the edge of the Hampton Waters Country Park in Peterborough, GKL worked with Hearne Holmes Developments Ltd in the construction of two luxury hamlet-style housing developments.

Nestled either side of Aqua Drive, R15 consisted of 15 new executive homes and was completed in July 2020. The larger, 30-unit scheme on R14 commenced in July 2022 and was completed at the end of 2023.

In both projects, GKL undertook all earthworks and enabling works to adjust site levels, minimising the volume of material to be taken off site. We installed piling mats and constructed all access roads and footpaths to adoptable standards, together with the installation of all streetlighting.

The groundworks included SuDS storm water drainage systems including swales for road drainage, and permeable paving to shared private roads and driveways. The foul water drainage systems for the new homes on the developments were installed and connected to Anglian Water’s adopted sewers.

Working with service providers, GKL also carried out all of the trenching and ducting for the installation of all of the utilities to each house in before completing all of the hard paving to patios and driveways for each new property.
